Personal sponsoring
To sponsor is to commit financially over a long period of time to allow a child to be schooled and to follow his/her studies in the best possible conditions.
In Nepal and Cambodia, the schooling costs are too expensive for many families who do not have a high income and who are in difficulty, for example a mother on her own with children. HOW DOES A SPONSOR WORKS? The new sponsor receives a report of the chid with the information we have about him/her and his/her family (first name and surname, age, class, family situation and photo) this report evolves when it is updated with new information, meetings with the child and headmaster/mistress or his/her school. Each update is sent to the sponsor with school reports when possible. Sponsors are free to correspond with their child if they wish; they can also go to the country to meet their sponsored child. THE COST For 1€ a day you can offer a child the chance to go to school and to follow normal schooling. The actual cost of a sponsor is fixed at 360€ per annum of which 10€ is membership fees. This sum can be paid either in one or several direct debits or 30€ a month. The totality of the sum given can be set against income tax, according to the French laws. WHO CAN SPONSOR? Any adult can sponsor. You can be: one person or a group of people who decide to sponsor a child together. In this case, each person decides on the sum they pay |
