Teachers Training
In order to teach in Nepal, it isn’t necessary to have followed specific training or have a university education. It is within this context that "ECOLIERS du MONDE" intervenes to finance training for teachers who work in state schools.
In the school in Kirtipur in Nepal, the association has decided to answer the training needs of the teacher team. The training began in February 2009 with a Montessori training course in sports and music. The main part of this training took place after classes. Montessori: 36 hours, 2 1/2 hours a day for 14 days Sport: 6 hours = 2 hours a day for 3 days Music: 6 hours = 2 hours a day for 3 days Science of education: 12 hours: 2 hours a day for 6 days. A total of 60 hours Certain courses were done during the classes with the children The trainers say that the course has been very positive, the impact on the teachers, the children and the families has been important. This training course has largely contributed to increasing the motivation of the teaching team. Here are some comments: “Before the training course the classes were dreary, now they are happier and the children are happy and proud of their school” “If the teachers feel good, the school can prosper, it will be even better in 2 or 3 years”. “The trainers are pleased with their students, they are motivated teachers” “The training course is good, it raises the level of the teacher’s abilities, but it isn’t enough, we need to continue.” The general motivation, the investment of the team encourages us to continue our help and financial support in this school over the years to come. |
